Courthouse Guide

Privacy policy

Effective October 28, 2026. The short version: you can read this guide without an account, a form, or a cookie.

What we collect

Nothing that you type in. The guide has no accounts, no sign-up forms, and no comment boxes. The parish search on the map runs in your browser and is not sent to us.

Cookies and tracking

The guide sets no cookies and loads no advertising, analytics, or social media tracking code. Fonts are served from our own site, so reading a page does not contact a font provider.

Server logs

The guide is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records basic request information, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time, to deliver the site, keep it secure, and diagnose problems. We do not use these logs to identify readers or build profiles.

Links to other websites

Most pages link to official websites, such as clerk's offices, courts, and state agencies. When you follow a link, that website's own privacy practices apply.

If you email us

If you send a correction by email, we use your message and address only to check and respond to the correction. Please do not send personal case details; see Report a correction.

Changes

If we add a feature that collects information, this policy will be updated before the feature goes live, and the effective date above will change.
